No dia 13 de abril de 2023, às 19h do dia 13 de abril de 2023, no auditório da ESPM Rio, o Laboratório de Economia Criativa, Desenvolvimento e Território (LEC) realizou um debate sobre o livro “Criatividade e emancipação nas comunidades-rede | Contribuições para uma economia criativa brasileira”, organizado e escrito por Claudia Leitão em coautoria com Luciana Guilherme (coordenadora do LEC), Luiz Antônio Oliveira e Raquel Gondim. O livro tem como homenageados: Gilberto Gil e Celso Furtado.
O livro é uma publicação do Itaú Cultural, por meio da Editora Martins Fontes, e conta com a apresentação de Paulo Miguez (reitor da UFBA), prefácio de Mário Lúcio Sousa (cantor, poeta e ex-ministro da Cultura do Cabo Verde entre 2011 a 2016) e posfácio de Antonio Lafuente (professor e autor de diversos livros, do Centro de Ciências Humanas e Sociais em Madri). O livro conta também com entrevistas com Tania Bacelar (economista) e Jorge Melguizo (ex-secretário de Cultura Cidadã e de Desenvolvimento Social de Medellin, Colômbia).
O debate reuniu agentes, profissionais e empreendedores dos setores culturais e criativos cariocas, além de docentes e discentes da ESPM. Na Roda de conversa, estiveram presentes: o Prof. Dr. João Luiz de Figueiredo (Coord. MPGEC), a Profa. Dra. Luciana Guilherme (Coord. LEC / coautora), a Profa. Dra. Cláudia Leitão (Organizadora, editora e coautora) e Jáder Rosa (Gerente do Observatório Itaú Cultural).
No dia 30 de maio de 2023, das14h30 às 16h, o LEC realizou a sua reunião mensal com a apresentação do projeto de pesquisa “Economia criativa, desenvolvimento e território no Estado do Rio de Janeiro”, apoiado pela FAPERJ e liderado pelo Prof. Dr. João Luiz de Figueiredo (líder do projeto). Nesta tarde estiveram presentes na nossa reunião, além dos docentes e discentes vinculados ao LEC, debatedores como o Prof. Dr. Leonardo Mancini, o Prof. Dr. Diogo Robaina (pesquisador vinculado), a Dra. Julia Zardo (Ger. Ambiente de Inovação – Casa Firjan) e Oswaldo Neto (Assessor da Ger. Ambiente de Inovação – Casa Firjan). Foi uma tarde muito rica com um debate qualificado sobre dimensões e variáveis de medição do potencial da economia criativa nas capitais brasileiras e nos municípios do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. A pesquisa foi iniciada neste ano e será finalizada no final do ano de 2024.
